Release Note: Schedule View filtering
Release Date: May 20, 2020
What should you be working on today? How about this week? Wouldn’t it be awesome if there was a quick and easy way to visualize this?
We’ve heard you, loud and clear! Introducing the Workspace’s newest filters in Schedule View:
- Show All Tasks
- Due Today
- Due This Week
Checking the Show All Tasks box simply expands all the subordinate tasks under items in Schedule View. Removing the check from Show All Tasks collapses all tasks, except those that a user “manually” expanded. This is shown below:
Clicking on the Filter icon displays radial buttons for items and tasks scheduled Today and This Week. Enabling this filter removes all items and tasks that don’t meet those parameters. Note: an information box will appear in the lower right of your screen with information on what data is displayed and what is “hidden.” In the example below, 5 items and tasks are scheduled to be worked on Today (2020-06-03) while 9 other items and tasks are not.
Changing the filter to display only items and tasks scheduled for this week expands the parameters of what is displayed. Now 7 items and tasks are displayed with 7 remaining “hidden” because they are not scheduled for the current week.
A common challenge many of our customers face is having a quick answer for the two questions below, especially when things get busy:
- What should I be working on today?
- What should I be working on this week?
These two filters provide a quick and easy way to visualize just that. With the click of a button, users can sift through all complexities of their schedule to focus on what needs to be done right now. This feature helps to improve clarity, prioritization, and efficient use of resources.
Everyone knows what they should be doing, and managers know who is working on what. Making work visible is a wonderful thing!
